It is the time of year when everyone posts their happy family photos on social media. It is all about the families. The kids. The grandchildren. The couples in love. We may need a reminder of the many women without spouses and children.
When single, the holidays can intensify their feelings of loneliness and can steal their hope. The names of one or two women are coming to your mind right now. How about calling them to encourage and remind them they are not alone?
Many singles thrive and have lots of friends who are like family and love unconditionally. But there are just as many singles who suffer in silence. They don’t want to bring their aloneness to anyone’s attention. They want to stay home and disconnect, but not really.
